Sevelamer

Sevelamer is a non-calcium, non-metal phosphate binder. It binds to dietary phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract, preventing its absorption into the bloodstream and facilitating its excretion through feces. This helps manage hyperphosphatemia and reduces the risk of calcification in patients with end-stage renal disease.
